Once an order is cancelled from the Online Ordering Dashboard, you will need to refund the order using your payment provider’s gateway. The process will vary based on the exact gateway used.
To process a refund for Stripe:
Go to dashboard.stripe.com
Click on the 'Payments' tab
Search for the relevant order by order number
Select the button that says 'Refund'
You can then choose to refund the order partially or completely
Choose your reason for giving a refund and click 'Ok' to complete
